Job summary

FM is a leading mutual insurance company delivering property risk management and resilience for policyholder-owners. The role supports account managers on underwriting issues and offers progression toward an account manager role, with training in underwriting and related areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in the insurance industry with at least 2 years loss prevention engineering experience preferred.
• Flexibility in prioritizing and handling diverse activities and workload.
• Excellent communication skills—written, presentational and verbal. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with considerable attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to account managers on underwriting details such as values analysis, linesetting, reinsurance needs and placement.
• Assist Client Service with knowledge of underwriting standards, policy forms and loss prevention practices.
• Aid development and implementation of global insurance programs to satisfy customer needs in line with company policies.
• Prepare and deliver internal and external meetings, presentations, proposals and account servicing activities.
• Keep up to date on market trends, coverage, programs, reinsurance and developments in the insurance market.
• Manage client and broker relationships.
• Develop skills to attain underwriting binding authority and progress toward account manager.
