Property Risk Engineering Consultant/ Senior Property Risk Engineering Consultant

Zurich’s Risk Engineering Property Southeast Team is seeking a Property Risk Engineer Consultant with large property highly protected risk (HPR) experience. This is a work-from-home role, ideally within Virtual VA, Virtual MD, or Virtual Washington DC. Some overnight travel is expected.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing field risk engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
2. Developing and implementing customer service strategies that reduce loss and improve operations.
3. Supporting underwriting teams by attending client broker meetings.
4. Performing field engineering services for larger locations within the region.
5. Delivering advanced property consultative services, identifying exposures with significant loss potential and property management programs.
6. Assisting in marketing Zurich risk transfer insurance products alongside underwriting professionals and agents.

Minimum Qualifications:

Risk Engineering Consultant:

• Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of risk engineering experience OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5+ years of risk engineering experience OR
• Zurich Certified Apprentice with an Associate's degree and 3+ years of risk engineering experience, including team experience and risk assessment skills.

Senior Risk Engineering Consultant:

• Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of risk engineering experience OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 8+ years of risk engineering experience OR
• Zurich Certified Apprentice with an Associate's degree and 6+ years of risk engineering experience, including team experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Fire Science, or related field.
• HPR Property experience.
• Loss control/Risk Engineering experience in insurance.
• Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).
• Strong communication, consultative, and collaborative skills.
• Proficiency with PC and MS Office.

Zurich offers competitive compensation, benefits, and career development opportunities. The salary range for this role is $74,300 - $121,700 for Consultants and $98,300 - $161,000 for Senior Consultants, with incentive bonuses.
