Job summary

The Misch Group is seeking a Highly Protected Risk Field Engineer in California. You will conduct on-site risk inspections for large commercial properties, evaluating fire protection systems, loss expectancy, and other risk factors using our technology-enabled workflows.

With 2–5 years in property risk management, you will work independently, manage your schedule, and collaborate with clients to reduce risk and insurance costs.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of property risk management experience, especially HPR surveys
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
• CFPS or PE certification is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and ability to provide actionable risk-reduction recommendations
• Willingness to travel for on-site inspections

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site property risk inspections and surveys for commercial clients.
• Evaluate and report on fire protection systems, loss expectancy, and general property conditions.
• Use proprietary technology to gather data and complete risk surveys efficiently.
• Collaborate with clients to explain risks and help manage insurance premiums.
• Provide expert recommendations for improving property risk profiles and mitigation strategies.
• Work independently and manage multiple assignments while contributing to a remote team.
• Stay current with risk management trends and industry standards.
