Salary Range: $24.00 To $24.00 Hourly

POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the facility to ensure major mechanical systems, fire & life-safety equipment, grounds, parking, lighting systems, plumbing, kitchen equipment, electrical, controls and any other systems and equipment comprising the physical structure and additional infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
T he following statements are intended as an overview of key responsibilities of the work for this position and are not all inclusive:

  • Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates the Cedar Crossing culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with all department and company policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations.
  • Responsible for creating and fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Reviews and implements preventative maintenance programs and maintain service records. Supports construction and renovations.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment throughout the property.
  • Supervises maintenance of the building exterior including curb appeal for snow removal, lawn care, painting, and other gardening.
  • Assigns, supervises, and verifies completion of routine maintenance and operation of physical structure of the casino, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment which contributes to the safe and effective operation of the facility. Visually inspects quality of work and assigns staff and supervises outside contractors in tasks according to performance and productivity standards.
  • Ensures operation is OSHA and Hazcom compliant to include maintaining of of departmental MSDS information.
  • Reviews guest complaints/concerns and takes appropriate action.
  • Schedules Team Members to guarantee maximum productivity and guest satisfaction with a minimum outlay of expenses in terms of labor and material.
  • Evaluates condition of furniture, fixtures, décor, etc., which requires continuous visual inspection of public areas. Makes recommendations and assists in the coordination and design of rehab projects.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any facility-related issues.
  • Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  • Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED plus five (5) years’ experience in maintenance preferred. Three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered. Previous experience with preventive maintenance and/or maintenance ticket systems desired. Experience in general maintenance such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry strongly preferred.

REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino.
  • Obtain and maintain required license(s).
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member’s department.
  • Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gambling.
  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls.
  • Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management.
  • Report any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member of which they have knowledge.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must have ability to:

  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
  • Work long hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Hot/cold – all weather. Stoop/bend etc.
  • Work in areas with exposure to flashing lights, loud noise, and second-hand smoke.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

Valid driver’s license with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May manage subordinates who may supervise Team Members. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the unit(s).
