Job summary

Target seeks a Property Management Lead in Virginia to oversee building assets, coordinate preventive maintenance, and lead store teams in safety and asset care. The role emphasizes guest experience, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will interact with vendors, manage work orders, and drive adherence to maintenance standards while supporting remodels and asset strategies with store leadership. A high school diploma and technical exposure are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of technical education preferred in electrical, mechanical, carpentry, HVAC or plumbing and related hands-on experience.
• Basic technical skills and experience working with property assets required.
• Proficiency operating power tools and HVAC equipment.
• Strong vendor management and accountability for service results.
• Effective communication and multi-device tech proficiency.
• Ability to manage workload independently and support store team.
• Able to remain focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments and maintain easy, inspiring, and friendly service.
• Ensure team is trained and consistently delivers on guest experience commitments and operations.
• Provide feedback, hold team accountable, and recognize exceptional guest experiences.
• Review metrics and take action to improve guest, financial, and team outcomes.
• Utilize technology to create, troubleshoot, prioritize, and complete work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building assets and systems (Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration, Life Safety, Electrical).
• Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Teach and train store team on safety procedures and asset care.
• Identify and perform corrective maintenance and engage leadership on priorities.
• Lead onboarding and development to close skill gaps and improve performance.
• Coordinate with PM guidance to ensure assets and vendors meet standards.
• Assist in projects, remodels, and PM asset strategies with store team.
• Ensure work orders are completed safely; hold vendors accountable.
• Assist in emergencies with store and field leaders.
• Demonstrate inclusivity and respect for diverse voices.
