Job summary

HANAC, Inc in New York City is seeking a detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee a diverse residential portfolio including LIHTC, PBV, 202, and HOME-assisted units. You will support leasing, compliance, financial administration and tenant relations while ensuring affordable housing regulations are met.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of property management or affordable housing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of LIHTC, PBV, 202, HOME or related programs preferred.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager, Rent Café or similar property management software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong organizational, communication and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with licensing and certifications, rent calculations and lease administration.
• Support leasing activities including screening, move-ins/outs, and occupancy management.
• Process payments and maintain accurate tenant ledgers; assist with audits.
• Coordinate inspections, maintenance requests and HQS compliance.
• Communicate with housing subsidy agencies about abatements and corrections.
• Attend housing court hearings when requested and support compliance reporting.
