Job summary

LR Management Services is seeking a dependable Property Manager to lead a team at our Michigan communities. The role requires apartment management experience, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to building performance and resident satisfaction.

You will supervise staff, manage leasing and maintenance operations, handle financials including rent collections and deposits, and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with multi-family, mixed-income housing developments
• Previous experience in property management or related fields
• Familiarity with real estate contracts and leases
• Team-oriented
• Ability to build rapport with tenants
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise all staff and oversee timesheet submission
• Approve all overtime and vacation requests
• Participate in hiring and training staff
• Conduct employee reviews
• Maintain relations with residents, staff, and vendors
• Oversee accounts receivable: rent and fees billed and collected
• Prepare, post, and make bank deposits daily
• Oversee service and capital contracts and ensure insurance certificates
• Perform property inspections for cleanliness and safety
• Manage move-in/out inspections and charges
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules
• Perform Leasing Agent and Assistant Manager duties as needed
• Handle general office duties and recordkeeping
• Code and submit invoices to accounts payable weekly
• Adhere to fair housing policies
• Maintain confidentiality of coworkers, residents, vendors
