Job summary

Timberland Partners in Burnsville, MN, is seeking a Property Manager for a 231-unit community. You will oversee on-site staff, marketing, maintenance, and resident relations, ensuring the property operates smoothly and rents stay competitive.

Responsibilities include budgeting, reviewing applications, preparing leases, and coordinating with the Marketing Department. Prior property management experience, Fair Housing knowledge, and proficiency with MS Office and YARDI are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have previous property management experience; knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• 2+ years on-site Leasing Consultant/Assistant Manager experience or 3+ years supervisory experience with customer service orientation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college-level education strongly preferred.
• Computer proficiency including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• YARDI experience preferred.
• Active apartment association membership preferred.
• Industry designations strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage community rental rates to maximize income.
• Address resident complaints, concerns and requests appropriately.
• Maintain the community’s appearance and ensure maintenance is reported and completed.
• Implement marketing initiatives as prescribed by Marketing Department.
• Review applications, prepare and type leases, complete paperwork.
• Ensure apartment is ready for move-in on the move-in date.
• Orient new residents to the community.
• Prepare annual budgets.
• Ensure deposits, rental payments and charges are collected in a timely manner.
• Set work schedules for all on-site employees.
• Lead by example and support staff development.
