Job summary

VOA - Texas is seeking a property manager to hire, train, and supervise staff, oversee office functions, and manage leases for 48 units. The role includes budget support, marketing, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or related bachelor’s degree with experience in property management, plus knowledge of HUD and LIHTC requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required and three years’ experience in property management.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred with two years’ experience in property management.
• Knowledge of HUD, Section 8, 202, 811, LIHTC and conventional properties.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines all staff.
• Manages the property office staff and related bookkeeping, marketing, and lease preparations.
• Supervises social service coordinator and function.
• Assists in budget preparation for the property.
• Markets the property in accordance with Fair Housing and management guidelines.
• Submits reports as required by management and government.
• Maintains office files and handles receipts and deposits.
• Inspects property daily and coordinates repairs.
• Responds to resident requests and complaints.
