Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Property Manager specializing in affordable housing to oversee LIHTC/Section 8 properties. You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage leasing, and supervise staff while keeping rent collections and budgets on track.

You will deliver outstanding resident service, maintain ready-to-lease units, and coordinate annual re-certifications, inspections, and community activities in a fast-paced environment.

Job description

• Ensure all Fair Housing and affordable housing regulations are adhered to
• Collect and Deposit rent within 24 hours of collection
• Provide outstanding service to the residents, resolving resident inquiries, work orders, and requests in a timely manner
• Maintain and build applicant waiting list
• Ensure property stays on budget through cost effective practices
• Conduct initial lease process and annual re-certification for affordable housing
• Pass inspections and maintain company standards
• Ensure vacant apartments are ready to lease quickly
• Process applications and forward to Compliance for approval
• Supervise property staff and inspect their work
• Organize community activities
• Be available for after-hours emergencies and training
• Lead marketing and leasing strategy

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of affordable housing experience with LIHTC, or Section 8
• Must have solid understanding of Fair Housing
• Skilled in income qualification, tenant file accuracy, and regulatory compliance
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong competency in Microsoft office suite and familiar with learning new software
