Responsibilities

• Market available apartments and maintain strong occupancy levels
• Qualify applicants and manage the leasing process from application through move-in
• Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, and unit turnovers
• Collect rent and manage delinquency, payment plans, and eviction proceedings as necessary
• Ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations and program requirements
• Oversee routine property maintenance and coordinate with vendors and service providers
• Conduct property inspections and monitor building conditions
• Maintain accurate resident, leasing, and compliance records
• Communicate regularly with residents and resolve concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain an organized and efficient property management office
• Respond to emergency situations and after-hours issues as needed

Our client, a mission-driven affordable housing organization located in Newport, NH is seeking an experienced Temp to Hire Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a residential community. This role is responsible for maintaining high occupancy levels, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting residents, and overseeing property operations to create a safe and welcoming living environment. The ideal candidate has affordable housing experience, strong customer service skills, and a proven ability to manage leasing, compliance, maintenance coordination, and resident relations.

Location: Newport, NH Schedule: Full-Time Duration: Temporary-to-Hire Start: ASAP Pay Rate Range (based on experience): $25-$27/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Market available apartments and maintain strong occupancy levels
