Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Property Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of an Glendale affordable housing community. You will direct onsite staff, oversee leasing, marketing, resident relations, and retention, and drive occupancy toward operational goals.

You will manage rent collection, budgeting, accounts receivable, and financial reporting, while coordinating maintenance, vendor relations, inspections, and compliance with LIHTC, NSP, and HTF programs.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of affordable housing property manager experience.
  • Strong background within affordable housing programs (LIHTC, NSP, HTF).
  • Strong understanding of property operations, budgeting, financial management, and resident relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with residents, team members, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a motor vehicle record that meets company insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the community, providing direction, coaching, and support to the onsite team.
  • Oversee leasing, marketing, resident relations, and retention efforts while working toward occupancy and operational goals.
  • Manage affordable housing compliance requirements, including resident certifications, documentation, and coordination with the Compliance team.
  • Oversee rent collection, accounts receivable, resident charges, budgets, invoices, and financial reporting while monitoring the property’s overall financial performance.
  • Direct property operations, including maintenance activities, unit turns, inspections, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure the community is safe, well-maintained, and up to Gorman’s standards for curb appeal.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, prospective residents, team members, vendors, and community partners while providing exceptional customer service.
