We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of an affordable housing community. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, and other affordable housing programs. This role requires excellent leadership, compliance knowledge, and customer service skills to maintain occupancy, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide residents with a safe, well-maintained living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring compliance with affordable housing regulations (HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, etc.).
• Oversee leasing activities, income certifications, and re-certifications.
• Maintain full occupancy by marketing units, screening applicants, and minimizing vacancies.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to affordable housing.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports, including financials, occupancy, compliance, and maintenance.
• Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs with site staff and vendors.
• Manage rent collection, enforce lease agreements, and initiate legal action for delinquency when necessary.
• Supervise and train on-site staff, fostering a team-oriented, customer-service-driven work environment.
• Maintain positive resident relations and respond promptly to resident concerns and complaints.
• Liaise with housing authorities, auditors, and compliance agencies as needed.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of property management experience, with at least 2 years in affordable housing.
• Strong knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, and/or Section 8 compliance regulations.
• Experience with Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), or similar certification preferred.
