Transitional Services for New York, Inc. (TSINY) in New York City is seeking a Property Management Specialist for our Residential Development & Property Management program in Braddock, Queens.

The role supports the Property Manager with daily operations, leasing, inspections, and regulatory compliance to ensure safe, well-maintained housing. The position requires a valid NY driver’s license, and the candidate should be able to visit sites in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 2 years’ related experience required.
• Experience in not-for-profit operations, property management or tenant organizing is a plus.
• Must have a New York State Driver's License and a safe driving history.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Ensure properties are safe, habitable and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Document findings and escalate concerns to the Property Manager.
• Assist with rent collection, arrears tracking, and rent rolls.
• Prepare documents for audits and regulatory reviews (HUD, LIHTC, OMH, HPD).
• Maintain spreadsheets, property databases and property management software.
• Serve as liaison to residents and handle inquiries.
• Assist in move-ins/outs and lease-related activities.
