Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of hands-on AppFolio accounting experience.
• Property management accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot accounting discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete bank and account reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Review general ledger activity and property-level financials for accuracy.
• Diagnose and resolve accounting discrepancies within AppFolio.
• Research and correct reconciliation issues, posting errors, and account discrepancies.
• Support month-end close and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate accounting records across managed properties.
• Work with property managers and operations to resolve accounting-related issues.
• Help build, document, and improve accounting processes as the company grows.
• Jump in wherever needed - this role rewards initiative and problem-solving.
