Job summary

Apartment Managing Professionals (AMP) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the upkeep of our apartment community in Austin, TX. You will perform make-ready preparations, diagnose issues, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliances while delivering reliable service to residents.

You'll conduct preventative maintenance, inspections of units and common areas, and respond promptly to tenant requests.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of general maintenance experience.
• HVAC, EPA, and CPO certifications preferred.
• Strong ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in; diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair.
• Organize general maintenance, preventative upkeep, and repairs per safety standards.
• Inspect vacated apartments, document renovations and re-inspect before move-in.
• Restore units to make-ready condition.
• Repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and more.
• Inspect grounds and buildings for safety; identify maintenance improvements.
• Respond to tenant requests promptly with excellent service.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations including Fair Housing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
