Job summary

Apartment Management Professionals (AMP) is seeking a Make-Ready Technician to prepare vacant units for new residents. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and housekeeping, address electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance issues, and ensure turnover timelines are met.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, customer service, and adherence to local regulations, with on-call availability and outdoor work as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient in basic electrical, plumbing, drywall/paint, carpentry, ceramic/tile, and appliance installation, removal, and repairs.
• Experience with turnovers and make-readies of vacant units in the multifamily industry is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong multitasking abilities, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Availability to work on-call, including after-hours and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests as assigned.
• Turn over apartment units efficiently and within established timelines.
• Follow and complete the make-ready and punch checklist.
• Address issues requiring repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliance).
• Install and remove appliances, ceiling fans, light fixtures, and blinds.
• Perform touch-up painting for exterior and interior surfaces as required.
• Respond promptly to tenant requests with excellent customer service.
• Comply with Federal, State, and local laws including Fair Housing regulations.
