We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Grand Meadow community located in Longmont, CO. The technician will perform general grounds and lawn maintenance, as well as basic repairs to community-owned homes, for 40 hours per week.

As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Performing maintenance to ensure homes and community areas are in proper condition.
  2. Executing work orders efficiently and reporting status to the Community Manager.
  3. Handling contacts with residents, prospective residents, visitors, and employees courteously and cooperatively.
  4. Identifying deficiencies and taking corrective actions with approval.
  5. Maintaining community grounds, including weed control, leaf raking, planting, mulching, trimming, and lawn care.
  6. Removing and disposing of garbage from community grounds and common areas.
  7. Performing snow removal using appropriate equipment.
  8. Advising management on waste disposal issues and large item pickups.
  9. Managing inventories of maintenance and grounds supplies and equipment.
  10. Keeping maintenance and storage areas organized and clean.
  11. Maintaining all equipment in good working order.
  12. Complying with health and safety laws to ensure a safe environment.
  13. Performing seasonal maintenance and being available for on-call duties.
  14. Participating in the refurbishment of community homes.
  15. Maintaining water and sewer lines and performing other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • May need to provide personal tools.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, walk, and access restricted spaces.
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to chemicals.

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 to $23.00, based on experience and skills.
