Job summary

Yugo Starkville Campus is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safety and upkeep of the property. You will handle work orders, respond to emergencies, perform plumbing/electrical tasks, and inspect buildings and grounds to maintain quality living spaces.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will manage pools and equipment, assist with turn activities, and coordinate with vendors. Eligibility for benefits includes health, dental, vision, 401k matching, PTO, holidays, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Type I certification preferred.
• Pool maintenance certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient with technology and online systems.
• Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally with high-quality repairs.
• Respond promptly to resident maintenance requests and emergencies with excellent service.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, painting, appliance repair, carpentry.
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, equipment and common areas.
• Maintain appearance, safety and functionality of property and spaces.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents with inspections and repairs.
• Maintain pools, spas and related equipment while complying with safety requirements.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours maintenance as scheduled.
• Maintain inventory levels for tools and supplies; organize storage areas.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and safety training; communicate with leadership and management.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work.
• Maintain professional appearance and relationships with residents and team members.
• Assist with additional maintenance and property improvement projects.
