Sun Communities, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician on Merritt Island, FL to perform routine and preventative maintenance across properties, including homes, facilities, and grounds.

You will support operations, ensure curb appeal, safety, and resident satisfaction through hands-on repairs and proactive issue resolution. The role requires a HS diploma, willingness to work outdoors in varying weather, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver''s license required.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform outdoor work.
• Basic computer and reporting ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on homes, facilities, and grounds.
• Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed.
• Inspect irrigation and water meters; assist with well-water systems if applicable.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and grounds; assist with snow removal where applicable.
• Ensure safety and curb appeal standards; report issues to manager.
• Assist with supervision of service contractors and coordinated projects.
