Job summary

Harbor Group Management is seeking a property maintenance professional to oversee the physical integrity and appearance of our Dayton community. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs, respond to resident requests, and manage vacant unit preparations.

You will conduct preventative maintenance, maintain common areas, manage tools and inventory, and support safety programs (OSHA).

Qualifications

• One-year prior experience in general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal certification required for refrigerant handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests using a work order system and complete repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure efficient, safe operation of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents by inspections, punch lists, scheduling and repairs.
• Maintain amenity areas through cleaning, trash removal, pressure washing and minor painting.
• Track inventory and notify supervisors for reorders; repair before replacement where possible.
• Attend safety meetings and OSHA training; report incidents.
• Inspect work by vendors to ensure quality and scope compliance.

Education

HVAC Certification (preferred)

EPA Type I & II or Universal refrigerant certification
