Job summary

Harbor Group Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service multifamily properties. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to resident service requests, and maintain common areas to meet safety and quality standards.

The role includes basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances, with on-call duties and a focus on cost-effective, quality workmanship. Prior multifamily maintenance experience is preferred and valid driver’s license is advised.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of general maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair).
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal for refrigerant handling may be required.
• Multifamily maintenance experience desired and on-call availability including evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly and track repairs via work order system.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure safe operation and high-quality property conditions.
• Prepare vacant units by inspections, punch lists, scheduling contractors, and performing needed repairs.
• Maintain amenity areas through cleaning, trash removal, pressure washing, and painter tasks.
• Manage tools and inventory, notify supervisors for reorder needs.
• Support safety policies by attending safety meetings and OSHA training; report incidents.
