Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the property's physical integrity, safety, and appearance. You will handle routine maintenance, respond to resident requests, and support efficient operations across the multifamily community.

This on-site role requires hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs, with on-call availability and a commitment to resident service excellence.

Qualifications

• One-year prior experience in general maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, or appliance repair.
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal for refrigerant handling.
• Multifamily (apartment) maintenance experience highly desired.
• Must be available for emergency on-call, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license for golf cart operation if applicable.
• Must be customer-service oriented with residents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines.
• Any other certifications as required by local and state laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly using a work order system.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs across the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents with inspections and punch lists.
• Maintain amenity areas through cleaning, trash removal, and minor painting.
• Manage maintenance tools, track inventory, and notify reorder needs.
• Repair rather than replace parts to save costs.
• Attend safety meetings and OSHA training; report incidents.
• Inspect vendor work to ensure quality and scope compliance.
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
