Job summary

Providence Place of Marion I within United Church Homes is seeking a Maintenance technician to keep the property and grounds in excellent condition. You will handle work orders, troubleshoot appliances in resident units, and coordinate with the Housing Manager to ready units for new residents.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least one year of maintenance experience, plus a valid driver's license and the ability to operate hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Must obtain and maintain mandatory, state and federal requirements and certifications for practice or occupation; a valid driver's license is required if assigned to travel between multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all areas of the property and surroundings in a professional manner.
• Completes work orders as requested by residents through the Housing Manager.
• Troubleshoots all appliances throughout the property and resident units.
• Coordinates with the office staff to prepare units for new residents.
• Performs routine maintenance including cleaning, landscaping, minor repairs, and safety checks.
• On-call for emergency situations and coordinates with the Manager on budget matters.
