Job summary

Wallis and Baker is seeking a Service Technician II to maintain safety, appearance, and functionality across its properties. The role involves a wide range of maintenance tasks, from groundskeeping to preventative and emergency repairs, with on-call flexibility.

Candidates should have EPA certification, strong mechanical skills, and proficiency with Yardi on a smartphone or computer. Valid ability to operate tools, ladders, and golf carts is required, along with a willingness to wear a uniform.

Qualifications

• EPA certification required.
• Willingness to learn and grow from Supervisor trainings.
• Fundamentals of mechanical systems.
• Able to organize, prioritize and plan your day.
• Assists and performs all aspects of the property’s maintenance.
• Common use of computer skills; and able to use a smart phone (Yardi Mobile app).
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools and related maintenance equipment.
• Able to operate motorized vehicles/golf carts.
• Able to work on call shifts, overtime, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to wear company-provided uniform during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and use proper PPE.
• Maintain property curb appeal.
• Assist and perform all aspects of the property’s maintenance, including grounds, housekeeping, preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance.
• Interior common area and exterior maintenance.
• Access flats or low slope roofs, attics, crawl spaces and use ladders as needed.
• Manage recycling and trash including enclosures and compactor rooms.
• Assist with weather-related cleanup including snow and ice management.
• Amenities and common area cleaning.
• Uphold appearance of grounds and common areas.
• Perform make-ready including cleaning and painting.
