Job summary

Horizon Realty Advisors LLC in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support property upkeep, service requests, preventive maintenance, and turnover processes under the Maintenance Supervisor.

You will perform general repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and other systems, conduct unit inspections, and assist with capital improvements. 1–2 years of experience preferred; valid driver’s license required. Horizon offers growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in property maintenance or related maintenance role.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems preferred.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• HVAC I and II Certification preferred.
• CPO Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests in a timely manner per policies and expectations.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Conduct unit inspections for move-in readiness and perform make-ready processes.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and support in-house projects and capital improvements.
• Regularly inspect grounds and buildings to identify safety hazards and cleanliness issues.
