Job summary

Harbor Group Management is seeking a maintenance professional to uphold the physical integrity and appearance of a multifamily property in New Orleans. You will perform routine maintenance, handle resident service requests, and support efficient operations of the property.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance across the site, prepping vacant units, maintaining amenity areas, and coordinating with contractors while following safety and local codes.

Qualifications

• 1 year of general maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall or appliance repair).
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA Type I & II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and mechanical maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and glass replacement).
• Respond to resident service requests using a work order system.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure safe operation of the property.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, complete inspections and punch lists, schedule contractors.
• Maintain amenity areas (breezeways, pools, common spaces) with cleaning and minor repairs.
• Manage maintenance tools, track inventory, and notify reorders.
• Support safety policies; attend OSHA training and report incidents.
• Inspect work by vendors to ensure quality and scope.”
• Assist in property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
