Job summary

NorthPoint is seeking a Service Technician to join our team in the Kansas City area. You will handle resident service requests and perform repairs across plumbing, HVAC, appliances, carpentry and electrical, while ensuring compliance with OSHA/EPA and Fair Housing regulations.

You will be adept at multi-tasking, communicating clearly, and working both indoors and outdoors. A valid driver’s license, EPA HVAC certification, and own hand tools are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or related experience
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• EPA Universal HVAC Certification for refrigerant recycling
• Provide own hand tools and must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use of hand tools and power tools
• Must be able to transport items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Proficient communication skills both verbal and written
• Able to be on-call for after-hours emergencies
• Able to work inside and outside

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident service requests are handled in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs to the community including plumbing, HVAC, appliances, carpentry and electrical
• Comply with OSHA/EPA regulations
• Maintain the exterior/interior of the community to exceed apartment living standards
• Ensure the community and staff follow Fair Housing regulations nationally/locally and other laws governing Multi-Family operations
• Any other additional task required
