Job summary

Kittle Property Group in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform on-site maintenance at our communities. You will provide reliable customer service and maintain the appearance and safety of the properties while presenting the company in a professional manner.

Responsibilities include monitoring expenses, inspecting grounds, prepping units for occupancy, performing preventative maintenance, supervising contractors, and keeping accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience.
• HVAC/EPA certification preferred.
• Language skills – read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions.
• Math skills – basic arithmetic.
• Reasoning skills – follow instructions and solve simple problems.
• Computer skills – basic MS Outlook and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maintenance expenses and ensure they stay below budget.
• Inspect community grounds each morning.
• Perform turn and maintenance of vacant units.
• Complete maintenance requests promptly.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain landscaping and grounds.
• Coordinate snow removal and weather records.
• Keep maintenance logs and records up to date.
• Maintain tools and replacement parts in working order.
• Provide and maintain own set of tools.
• Sweep and clean common areas.
• Supervise contractors on site.
• Provide after-hours emergency resident support.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records for residents and units.
• Service and maintain common amenities.
• Conduct quarterly unit inspections.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
