Job summary

Merion Residential is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems across our communities, prioritizing resident safety and satisfaction.

You will follow preventative maintenance programs, participate in on-call rotations, inspect vacant units, manage inventory, and mentor junior technicians while upholding safety standards and professional service.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance or construction experience.
• EPA certification required (Type I & II minimum; Universal preferred for advancement).
• High school diploma or GED with apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to perform field duties.
• Proficiency with preventative maintenance, inventory control, and work order records.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to diagnostic approaches for preventative maintenance and system troubleshooting.
• Participate in on-call emergency rotation and respond to issues as needed.
• Assist in training junior Maintenance Technicians.
• Troubleshoot and repair property systems, perform inspections.
• Inspect vacant units, conduct turnovers, and touch up paint as needed.
• Utilize maintenance software to track work orders and inventory.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in optimum condition.
• Walk grounds daily; maintain curb appeal and safety standards.
• Follow safety programs and guidelines to minimize emergencies.
