Job summary

Essex Property Trust in Los Angeles area is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, repair interior/exterior features, respond to resident requests, and prepare units for new residents.

This on-site role requires a five-day workweek, on-call availability, the ability to lift heavy items, and working across grounds, clubhouse, and common areas to preserve asset value and provide a quality living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• HVAC and/or CPO license preferred.
• Valid driver's license for on-site operations with golf carts.
• Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Familiarity with MS Office and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing and electrical.
• Repair interior and exterior features; address resident maintenance requests promptly.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
• Conduct property inspections and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Be on-call for emergencies and after-hours as required.
