GMH Communities is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Auburn, AL. The role oversees maintenance needs, oversees work orders, and ensures the property meets safety and quality standards.

The position involves hands-on maintenance, supervision of the maintenance team, and on-call weekends. The ideal candidate has HVAC certification, 3+ years in building maintenance, and strong leadership and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in apartment or hospitality maintenance preferred.
• 2-3 years managing a team.
• HVAC I and II Certification required, mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive resident relations through outstanding service.
• Participate in the daily operations of the property.
• Train and supervise all Maintenance Team Members.
• Vendor negotiation, scheduling and contracting.
• The Turn and Make Ready process; Inspect units for Move In readiness.
• Conduct regular property health and safety inspections.
• Communicate with the General Manager regarding problems with maintenance or curb appeal.
• Respond to emergencies per procedures.
• Hold daily meetings to ensure work orders are assigned and completed.
• Develops standards for cleanliness and appearance of buildings and common areas.
