Job summary

Royal American Companies is seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to oversee preservation and upkeep of Cornerstone Apartments in Alexander City, AL. You will operate under OSHA standards and company safety policies, ensuring preventive maintenance, accurate record-keeping and timely repairs to units and common areas.

Under direct supervision of the Community Manager, you will coordinate with vendors, perform scheduled maintenance, and provide training to colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English is required.
• Read, understand and follow instructions contained in handwritten/printed service requests; provide responses.
• Read and understand manuals, instructions and other printed materials related to maintenance tasks.
• Work under time constraints and stay aware of safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Practice OSHA standards and company safety policy.
• Perform safety training as required by company and/or state/federal law.
• Complete a hazard assessment form before beginning any task.
• Use proper safety equipment when exposed to moving parts, fumes, or chemicals.
• Knowledge of maintenance requirements for the property and ensure repairs comply with codes.
