Job summary

Royal American Companies is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to oversee upkeep and safety for a multifamily property. Under the Community Manager, you will manage preventive maintenance, ensure compliance with OSHA standards, and coordinate with vendors to maintain high building standards.

The role requires strong communication, record-keeping, and hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC. On-site presence and ability to travel between properties are essential.

Qualifications

• Read, understand and follow handwritten/printed service requests and complete reports as required.
• Must be able to perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and related maintenance tasks.
• Must obtain EPA certification or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire/promotion.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on property systems and amenities.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
• Maintain records of work orders, inspections and inventories per procedures manual.
• Report unusual or extraordinary circumstances to the Community Manager.
• Assist with custodial tasks and light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and other team members to ensure timely maintenance.
