Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a Service Manager to lead the maintenance team for our properties. You will supervise staff, oversee scheduled repairs, and ensure safety standards are met across electrical and mechanical systems.

The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, policy implementation, and strong organization. Candidates should have 3+ years in property maintenance and be proficient with common office tools; Yardi/RealPage a plus. This position is onsite at our properties.

Qualifications

• Three years of property maintenance experience.
• Proficient in a trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Knowledge of tools, techniques, and terminology of building and mechanical trades.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Knowledge and experience using a variety of tools and equipment to complete tasks.
• Great organization and project management skills.
• Able to implement and improve policies and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Yardi/RealPage a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of other maintenance employees.
• Taking a leadership position on special projects.
• Perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair tasks.
• Strong knowledge of accident and safety precautions.
• Proficient in a specific trade with general maintenance and repair skills.
• Work independently on routine projects and receive assistance for more complex projects.
• Occasional need to work overtime for special projects or emergencies.
