Job summary

JUSTUS PROPERTY MANAGEMENT INC is seeking a maintenance-focused team member in Jeffersonville, IN. The role involves maintenance, cleaning, painting, and presenting the company in a professional manner at all times.

You will oversee maintenance tasks, perform turns on vacant units, manage common areas, and supervise contractors while keeping detailed records and staying within budget. On-call emergencies are part of the duties, with occasional local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance.
• Occasional need to travel using personal transportation to inspect property or run local errands.

Responsibilities

• Monitor expenses and ensure that they are below budget.
• Perform an inspection of community grounds each morning.
• Perform turn (maintenance, cleaning, painting) of all vacant units.
• Complete all maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain landscaping, bushes, trees, and lawn.
• Perform snow removal of community sidewalks.
• Maintain a log of weather and snow removal efforts.
• Maintain records of maintenance performed in all units and at the site.
• Maintain all company tools, equipment, and replacement parts in working condition.
• Provide and maintain your own set of personal tools.
• Sweep, clean, and maintain all common areas of the community.
• Supervise contractors working at the site.
• Maintain resident and specific apartment preventative maintenance records.
• Provide service and maintenance for all common amenities.
• Conduct semi-annual unit inspections.
• Handle all after-hour emergencies (on-call). (i.e.- no heat or ac calls, busted pipes, no hot water, ect.)
• Other duties as assigned.
