Job summary

Range Commercial Partners, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain and repair building systems across assigned properties.

You will inspect HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire alarm systems, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to work orders with urgency. The role requires a high school education and broad hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing, drywall, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing, drywall and HVAC troubleshooting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing) to ensure operation per client requirements.
• Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance on assigned properties.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC.
• Receive and complete work orders for corrective repairs in a timely manner.
• Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors.
• Maintain lighting systems and replace bulbs and fixtures.
• Order materials and manage paperwork to close out work orders.
