Job summary

ECPI University LLC in Virginia Beach is seeking an Accounting Associate to support centralized accounting for affiliated entities, including accounts payable, reconciliations, and property/lease accounting. You will ensure accurate processing and documentation to support month-end close.

You will handle vendor invoices and intercompany activity, assist with journal entries, and help maintain records across multiple entities. This role offers growth into Staff Accountant as expertise grows.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years in accounts payable or related finance experience.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and general ledger.
• Experience with multiple entities or properties is a plus.
• Experience with Workday or Dynamics GP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and process vendor invoices, check requests, PO invoices and other AP transactions for multiple entities with proper coding and approvals.
• Maintain separation and accuracy of transactions among affiliated entities.
• Review vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, duplicate invoices, credits and outstanding items.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice and payment issues with cross-functional teams.
• Assist with preparation and processing of scheduled vendor payments.
• Perform GL, vendor, bank and other account reconciliations; research discrepancies.
• Assist with monthly close activities and journal entries; support documentation.
• Assist with prepaid expense, accrual, fixed asset, intercompany schedules, and related accounting tasks.
• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations among entities.
• Maintain accounting records and documentation per policies.
