Job summary

Bossier Parish Community College in Louisiana is hiring for a full-time, in-person inventory control position on the Bossier campus. Salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience as required by the college.

The role focuses on property management through inventory control, asset records, and warehouse operations, coordinating with departments and LPAA reports. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 1 year inventory experience or 3 years in inventory with public or private entity.
• Two years or more of inventory experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Word, Excel, and/or electronic inventory database.
• Demonstrated organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Proven leadership, communication, team-building and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to train on data information systems.
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage the College's movable assets, conduct inventories, tag items, track depreciation, and report results.
• Maintain materials and property inventory systems for accurate control.
• Prepare and submit property records to LPAA and auditors, including monthly updates.
• Coordinate audits of movable equipment with departments for accuracy.
• Submit annual property inventory certification to LPAA and legislative auditors.
• Oversee warehouse and receiving operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution.
• Coordinate and track shipments, verify against packing lists, and report discrepancies.
• Research and resolve order/invoice/receiving discrepancies with vendors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
