Job summary

The Dakota in Victoria, TX is seeking a Porter/Groundskeeper to maintain the property grounds and support the maintenance team. You will clean common areas, assist with pool maintenance, manage supplies, and provide excellent service to residents.

Required include a high school diploma and good English; overtime and weekend work may be needed. This is a full-time on-site role with safety and training commitments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year previous porter experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Picks up trash and maintains common areas (driveways, parking lots, hallways).
• Empties dumpster area and keeps it clean.
• Uses blower and pressure washer to clean exterior areas.
• Maintains flowerbeds, plants, grass, and pool areas; assists with pool maintenance.
• Walks the property regularly and removes debris.
• Cleans carpets in resident apartments.
• Communicates status of work to supervisor; coordinates with team.
• Schedules, monitors and performs work orders; orders supplies as needed.
• Keeps maintenance supplies in stock and supports office staff with notices.
• Performs emergency maintenance and ensures work areas are neat after tasks.
• Inspects buildings/grounds for safety and cleanliness and reports repairs.
• Delivers excellent customer service to residents and promotes quality living.
