Job summary

Beemok Hospitality Holdings LLC in Charleston, SC is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain, repair and clean the property's grounds, including the exterior and loading dock, and occasional work in common hallways and mall areas inside the property.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance records, responding to repairs, operating hand and power tools, coordinating with the landscaping company, and supporting trash pickup around the hotel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years property maintenance or groundskeeping experience.
• Knowledge of operating hand and power tools.
• Read manufacturer instructions, blueprints, diagnostic trees and the ability to discern various colors of electrical wiring.
• Make effective judgments on repairs and maintenance and resolve guest/operational problems.
• Operate work order program with detailed notes and status of jobs.
• Communicate effectively with housekeeping and stewarding to achieve goals.
• Be flexible with schedule; stay teachable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and clean grounds including exterior and loading dock.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, cleaning and emergency repairs as assigned.
• Takeover jobs outside the Duty Engineer's scope.
• Adhere to safety, security and emergency procedures.
• Act as liaison to landscaping company and ensure property vision is met.
• Assist with trash pickup around hotel, loading dock and compactor area.
• Keep engineering shop and spaces clean and organized.
• Inform Chief Engineer of problems for prompt action.
