Job summary

The Cooper in Charleston, SC is seeking a reliable Groundskeeper to maintain, repair and clean the exterior grounds, loading dock, and common hallways. You will perform preventative maintenance, operate tools, and coordinate with landscaping vendors to meet property vision while delivering strong guest service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of groundskeeping or property maintenance experience, plus safety awareness and a team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years property maintenance or groundskeeping experience.
• Know how to operate hand and power tools (drills, saws, power cleaners etc).
• Read manufacturer instructions, blueprints, and diagnostic information; identify electrical colors.
• Make effective judgments on repairs and maintenance and communicate with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records on preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Perform maintenance, inspections, cleaning and emergency repairs as assigned.
• Coordinate with landscaping company to meet property vision and expectations.
• Assist with trash pickup and debris around property including loading dock areas.
• Keep engineering spaces clean and report issues to the Chief Engineer/Asst. Director of Engineering.
