Job summary

The Scion Group LLC is seeking a Porter/Gatekeeper in Birmingham, Alabama. The role focuses on maintaining the property's common areas, assisting with general upkeep, and ensuring safety and cleanliness across indoor and outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities include landscaping, pool and irrigation maintenance, and light repairs. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least one year of grounds maintenance experience, with a valid driver’s license and flexibility for after-hours work.

Qualifications

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and one year of full-time experience in lawn/grounds maintenance or equivalent.
• Efficient in reading instructions and documenting labor and materials.
• Record of punctuality and dependability; able to work under deadline pressure and after-hours/weekend emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the property's common areas and perform general maintenance and cleaning.
• Mow lawns, trim beds, rake leaves, and manage landscaping duties per schedule.
• Repair stair treads, exterior lighting, irrigation, and pool equipment as directed.
• Keep grounds clear of debris, manage drainage, and assist with snow removal when needed.
• Promote safety and respond to emergencies; maintain uniform and professional appearance.
