Job summary

Maricopa County is seeking a Real Property GIS & CAD Specialist to provide GIS, CAD, and title technical services for transportation and flood control. You will research deeds, surveys, title reports, and other documents, and prepare ROW plans, base maps, legal descriptions, and exhibits for real estate transactions.

You'll work closely with RED, FCD, MCDOT, Planning and Development, and external partners, handling inquiries and contributing to project right-of-way efforts with accuracy and

Qualifications

• One year of experience working with GIS applications.
• Associate's degree in GIS, cartography, geography, planning, architecture, civil engineering, computer science, or related field.
• An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Create and quality check legal descriptions, exhibits, ROW plans, and other documents.
• Maintain and update real estate parcel land records and GIS parcel polygons and attributes.
• Review and analyze legal documents, construction plans, title reports, and other documents to prepare project right-of-way plans, legal descriptions, exhibits, and GIS depictions of land parcels.
• Respond to inquiries and attend project meetings related to existing and future MCDOT and FCD right-of-way.
• Review and provide feedback on engineering project construction plan submittals and special use permit applications.
