Job summary

AWI is seeking a Property Finance Specialist to oversee financial operations for a portfolio of affordable housing properties. You will ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting support, and reliable records while partnering with Asset Managers and Regional Managers.

Responsibilities include audits, budgeting, HUD/regulatory compliance, and maintaining monthly accruals and reconciliations in Yardi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in finance or accounting; affordable housing or property management is a plus.
• Proficiency with financial software; Yardi experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Audit reviews and reconcile financial records for accuracy.
• Prepare and transmit financial statements to regulatory bodies timely.
• Coordinate with auditors and supply supporting documentation.
• Develop budgets, reserves, and forecasts; review occupancy trends and expenses.
• Manage monthly accruals/prepaids and GL coding in systems.
