Utica National Insurance Group is seeking a field adjuster to join our team serving the Buffalo/Western New York area. The role involves meeting with insureds, performing field estimates, and coordinating with desk adjusters as needed.

The position offers company vehicle eligibility and opportunities for CAT deployment. Minimum requirements include a high school graduate and 4-year college degree preference, with 4–7 years of personal/commercial claims adjusting and 3–5 years field adjuster

Qualifications

• High school graduate; 4-year college degree preferred.
• 4–7 years adjusting personal and commercial lines claims preferred.
• 3–5 years field adjuster experience including writing estimates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, prepare complete scope and report on personal and commercial lines property losses.
• Position requires extensive personal contact with insureds, their legal representatives and customer agents.
• Operate on an independent basis with limited supervision in handling/settling a high volume of claims within assigned authority.
• Follow estimating guidelines and adhere to field adjuster turnaround times.
• In the case of a Catastrophe event, you may be deployed to the field to inspect losses and may receive CAT pay during deployment.
