Job summary

Qualifications

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• Additional coursework or training in criminal justice, forensic science, property and evidence management, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Experience in a lead or supervisory capacity is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise the Property and Evidence Unit operations.
• Oversee receipt, cataloging, storage, and disposition of property and evidence with strict chain-of-custody compliance.
• Prepare and review reports, audits, and documentation; coordinate with detectives, prosecutors, and outside agencies.
• Assist in budget preparation and evaluate staffing, equipment, and training needs.
