The City of Fort Worth Police Department is seeking a Property Control Specialist to manage the receipt, storage, and release of property and evidence with strict chain-of-custody procedures.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and successful completion of a drug screen. Evening, weekend shifts, and outdoor work are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of property and evidence maintenance, warehouse and inventory, recording keeping, or customer service.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Drug screen must be passed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, document, process and store evidence and property; assign control numbers and storage locations.
• Operate pallet jacks/cherry picker forklifts as needed.
• Conduct inventories and handle lifting of boxes.
• Release property/evidence to labs, courts, or agencies with proper chain of custody.
