Qualifications

• 2+ years of first-party property coverage experience.
• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar license in good standing.
• Experience analyzing property insurance policies and coverage issues.
• Experience with EUOs, depositions, pleadings, motions, or mediations preferred.
• Commercial or residential property coverage litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent client communication, organization, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple active matters and urgent deadlines.
• Collaborative, detail-oriented, team-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex first-party property insurance policies and coverage issues.
• Advise insurance clients throughout claim investigation and pre-suit coverage analysis.
• Handle first-party property coverage disputes from initial investigation through litigation and resolution.
• Conduct examinations under oath and participate in depositions.
• Draft coverage opinions, pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive legal documents.
• Work with experts and consultants regarding complex commercial and residential property losses.
• Represent clients in mediations, hearings, negotiations, and other dispute-resolution proceedings.
• Develop litigation and settlement strategies based on policy language, damages, and claim exposure.
• Manage multiple active matters while meeting client reporting and litigation deadlines.
• Collaborate with experienced coverage attorneys on complex and high-value insurance disputes.
