Job summary

Terracon is seeking a motivated Property Condition Assessor I to join our Facilities Engineering Services team. This role blends field assessments with report writing to support PCA and FCA projects across diverse properties.

You will work with senior staff to evaluate facilities, collect measurements, photos, and data, and help prepare technical reports and life-cycle recommendations. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Building Science, or related discipline.
• 0 to 5 years of experience in building assessments, construction, architecture, engineering, facilities management, inspection, or related field.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Field Assessments: conduct on-site inspections and evaluate building components per ASTM E2018; document conditions, deficiencies, and observations.
• Technical Reporting: assist with PCA/FCA reports, organize field data, develop condition ratings and life estimates.
• Project Support: coordinate site access, assist with proposals, and maintain client communications and project quality.
• Travel: travel up to 50% of time for day trips and overnight assignments.
